The Digestive Diseases Research Institute (DDRI) of Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) in addition to providing the best research field on the gastrointestinal diseases, is the first and most reliable provider of gastroenterology fellowship training programs. Five gastroenterology and hepatology fellowships are trained annually in this institute. So far about 130 fellowships have been trained.

Also, since 1385, the Digestive Diseases Research Institute (DDRI) of Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) has launched an advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy fellowship course for gastroenterologists and hepatologists, and so far 25 people (an average of 2 gastroenterologists and hepatologists annually) have succeeded in this advanced course.

Pediatric Endoscopy Training Course

Additionally, the Digestive Diseases Research Institute (DDRI) of Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) is the first provider of short-term training courses for pediatricians. In this advanced course, pediatric fellowships will learn the necessary trainings in three months.
Furthermore, pediatricians will benefit from training courses presented by gastroenterology and hepatology professors of the institute in the field of pediatric endoscopy in "Children's Hospital" of Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

Continuing Education Programs

Also this institute has conducted some high quality continuing education programs for gastroenterology and hepatology graduates, gastroenterology and hepatology fellowships, internal medicine residents and even general practitioners.
